Making Russian Dolls

Making Russian Dolls historical fiction debut. Russian intelligence. Russian athletes. One goal: Domination.

As a girl, Maya Orlova dreamed of working for Cheka—Russia’s secret police and intelligence service. Though considered physically unsuitable for government service, Maya possesses a unique gift that earns her a place deep within the world of espionage.

Dmitry Kurchin’s love of sports and duty to country make him the perfect intelligence operative, traveling through Europe under the cover of Russian athletic teams while quietly building intricate spy networks.

When WWII erupts and the pair find themselves in Miami, Florida, Maya and Dmitry begin laying plans to embed Soviet agents deep inside the United States.

But beneath the political schemes, manipulation, and dangerous loyalties lies a subtle slow-burn connection between Maya and Dmitry — built through trust, shared grief, quiet understanding, and years spent surviving dangerous worlds together.
